After upgrading to the ServiceNow New York release, access to external datastores will be blocked by due to increased security settings applied by ServiceNow.

ISSUE: Connection to the Evanios Datastore will fail.  Monitored Objects will not retrieve metric graphs.

In the evanios logs, you may see an error such as:

  • Error{communication} unable to perform ssl handshake: sslv3 alert certificate unknown

In the ServiceNow REST logs, you may see an error such as:

  • Response: [ERROR CODE: -1 ] No issuer certificate found for <datastore URL>
  • org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpException: No issuer certificate found for <datastore URL>

CAUSE: This issue is caused by tighter certificate standards in the ServiceNow New York release.

  1. In the filter navigator, navigate to sys_properties.LIST
